The Medline 9130, 9135-LP, 9160, and 9165 Universal The Medline Universal Electrosurgical Grounding Pad 9100 Series with proprietary Safety Ring (manufactured by 3M) is a breakthrough in electrosurgical pad technology. This pad is smaller in size—a mere 15 square inches—so it’s very easy to place, and meets the same thermal performance standard as traditional pads up to 33% larger in conductive surface area. The patented green Safety Ring gives this pad greater efficiency than traditional grounding pads because the current is evenly dispersed throughout the entire pad. No other grounding pad on the market has this technology, and it is available exclusively from Medline.
Many surgeons prefer non-stick tips because they cut more smoothly
than traditional stainless steel and clean more easily. Medline's Blue
Silk electrodes are coated with PTFE, the same non-stick compound
used in Teflon®. This allows the electrodes to be easily cleaned with a wet piece of gauze or sponge instead of an abrasive scratch pad. Our rounded edges prevent RF current from concentrating too much energy
in one area. All tips less than 3" in length feature ribbed insulation that allows the staff to easily change the tip even under
wet conditions. 
Medline carries electrosurgical pencils in handswitch, footswitch and rocker switch configurations. We carry two different housingstyles, each designed for surgeons who require the traditional “feel” they are accustomed to. Medline also offers a pencil with the PTFE tip already attached. This increases efficiency as it eliminates waste because non-stick tips no longer need to be pulled separately, and there is no stainless steel tip to be thrown away.
